Just a small reminder of things I must buy this year...
ATICTAC or Academia Tamaulipeca de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica A.C. is offering a congress for science and technology, which if I could access to, would represent my first congress ever with possibilities of publishing a paper, one of my goals for this year before I graduate. I'll be working on Artificial Vision and hope to get something here for my Curriculum. From what I've seen successful researchers tend to have an impressive array of papers (just take a look at Aubrey De Grey's) where they further knowledge and share it for the world to make use of it, something which should be part of every Transhumanism in my humble opinion.
But that's only the theorical aspect of it... Its about time I get to make advances on the vision stage of the algorithms, I'm thinking whether to switch to Processing for the MLegs project too, the teacher asked us to use LabVIEW but to me it feels kinda inefficient and bulky, consumes way too much memory. My alternative is this: http://www.mon-club-elec.fr/pmwiki_reference_lib_javacvPro/pmwiki.php But then we may lose access to the DAQ. To do, or not to do... Also, I absolutely loved this story, pretty depressing and creepy, just like I like them: http://archiveofourown.org/works/577310/chapters/1035515 Kuddos and credits to Sailor Ptah for this wonderful work. Just got the answer from UNAM about the Law School. Good news! It seems I'm applying!
Now, only need to prepare for september 28 and get it all on time. Reciba un saludo One of the many things I want to do is to study law as I as a Transhumanist am trying to get balance in all aspects of my life. Now, my life isn't very balanced right now, but its a small and temporal sacrifice in order to get everything in touch.
Here's a page from the UNAM where they offer distance and open education for Bachelors, I intend to study Law either here or somewhere they offer Saturdays. Hope everything works smoothingly. http://distancia.cuaed.unam.mx/que_es.php Here at our University we got to see an opportunity called Investigation Summers where a student enters a research project with some researcher somewhere in the country and gets to spend two months working with them and getting a small economic benefit while doing so. I, being one to hate wasting opportunities, want to apply for it and see if I can get to work on some artificial intelligence or particularly, genetic algorithms and or cellular automata. Now among the documents I have to send is a recommendation letter written by a teacher from my school and I thought, well, I'm gonna make a document, why not LaTeX? XD And so here I am, found an interesting page with information on LaTeX code which is perfect! In case someone finds it useful, here's the link: http://texblog.org/2007/08/15/writing-a-letter-in-latex/ A long time ago I found this wonderful video with such wise words, I absolutely loved it. Wish I had heard this a long time ago, I believe my life would've been way more effective and efficient than it is now.
Enjoy! First attempt at my "become braza" challenge, found this study guide and will follow it in order to improve my performance. You may not believe it but before college I didn't need to study and wasn't used to, my mind retained all data (mostly from Programming) and advanced the subjects by myself for fun. I DON'T LIKE MATH so I quickly forget what I study everytime, as such, and because I need to become a true and complete engineer this year, I will change my study habits. Lets go!
http://www.cse.buffalo.edu/~rapaport/howtostudy.html No, I'm not talking about the flesh and blood ones! No, looking through the net for a good platform or advances in domotics protocols I came across DOG which stands for Domotic OSGi Gateway, its an open-source platform to develop domotic applications. Still not gonna use it though as I'm trying to design my own model using Processing but you may find it useful so you can check it here: http://elite.polito.it/dog-tools-72 |
