Writing ontologies: the basics
Triples and URIs
The most basic element conforming an ontology or semantic database. Triples are statements or "facts" about a given object (entity). An example of a triple could be:
<Blue is a color>
All triples possess:
A. Subject.
B. Predicate.
C. Object.
In our example "blue" is a subject, "is a" is the predicate and "color" is the object.
